Best Of Central Europe ♥ Grand Tour, programme suggestion. 8 days/7 nights

Hotels: acc. to your choice – from 3* up to 5* hotels. Meals: Full board. Visited places: Arr. Prague, Konopiště Castle, Kutná Hora Unesco Memorial, Olomouc (Czech), Cracow (Poland), Žilina, Bratislava (Slovakia), Györ, Budapest (Hungary), depart. Vienna (Austria). Available languages: english, french, spanish, portuguese, russian, chinese, korean, hebrew, japanese.

Nr. of participants: as reasonable and final price competitive we recommend minimum 16. Available: Any time of the year, highly recommended April – October.

Duration: 8 days / 7 nights.  Transportation: coach of OTUS (2 drivers).

 

The programme of the tour includes:

 

DAY 1: Expected arrival to Prague Airport in the morning or noon. Meet with OTUS´s tourleader and coach transfer to hotel. Afternoon coach city tour of Prague, evening performance of folk dances and songs connected with full dinner and unlimited drinks.

 

DAY 2: Almost whole day coach tour with OTUS´s tourleader to Kutná Hora, medieval royal town, UNESCO Heritage Memorial, lunch and then to Konopště Castle – to see unique collections of weapons and hunting trophies. In the evening dinner on ship during the cruise „Prague by night“ passing along the Vltava river beautifully illuminated main Prague´s sightseeings. (Coach round trip approach).

 

DAY 3: Early morning check-out and ferwell with Prague during the coach tour across Czech republic to the East. First longer stop in moravian city Olomouc – short visit of historical city centre.

Tour continues with next stop in city Nový Jičín – just hiíghest time to get a lunch. Soon will be crossed the czech-polish border and after about 2 hours finally is coming the check-in to hotel in Cracow. Still before the dinner in hotel restaurant remains some time for little walking excursion together with polish local guide „around the hotel“ to be little orientated for free time in the evening, which you may use for visit of some local pub, wine-cellar or cabaret.

 

DAY 4: Breakfast and check-out. It follows Cracow city tour by coach (partly walking), incl. the admission to famous Wawel Castle guided by local polish guide. Before noon is necessary to start the tour from Cracow, across romantic landscape (no a highway) of White Carpathian Mountains to Slovakia. A little bit delayed lunch awaits in first large slovak city – Žilina and the tour continues through River Vah Valley surrounded by hills, often topped by medieval castle or its ruins. Passing the cities Trenčín and Trnava will arrive for dinner to hotel in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. Check-in and free time after a long day.

 

DAY 5: In the morning awaits the coach city tour of Bratislava city with some walking parts of tour guided by OTUS´s tourleader thanks to similar language, part of common history and mutual good knowledge of both nations – Czechs and Slovaks. Then follows a lunch in local restaurant and the tour continues in the afternoon to the territory of Hungary. First, but short stop is in city Gyor – just look arround the city centre and maybe to buy some refreshment. At about 5.00 PM should the coach stop in front of the hotel in Budapest, check-in and dinner in hotel restaurant. Soon after the dinner continues the transfer to Danube river pier. Here you will start one hour cruise „Budapest´ legend“ with glass of champaigne and availability to get into your headphones any of 25 different languages commentary. Coach transfer back to hotel.

 

DAY 6: Good luck – not necessary to check-out from your hotel room after breakfast! In front of hotel awaits us hungarian local guide to provide a coach city tour of Budapest with stops at the most famous sightseeings. Included also the admissions to Mathias Church and Fisherman Bastion. Lunch in typical hungarian local restaurant and afternoon our to Szentendre in the Danube river Knee – a pitoresque art cratfs village with unique atmosphere, lot of souvenir shops, incl. admissions to M. Kovacs´ statue museum. Late afternoon return to hotel and some time for relax. About 19.30 coach transfer to Vadaspark“ for full dinner and performance of folklore dances together with live gipsy music. Some wine, coffee/tea and little souvenir included. Coach transfer back to hotel.

 

DAY 7: A little bit later breakfast and check-out. Let´s go to Austria. After about two hours in coach a sooner lunch still in Hungary – in city on the border – Mosonmayarovár and the tour continues to Vienna. Check-in to hotel and at about 15.00 city tour of Vienna with local guide, duration 3 hours. Shortly back in hotel and then departure to famous Vienna´s „winequarter“ Grinzing for typical austrian dinner with wine + live music. About 23.00 transfer back to hotel.

 

DAY 8: Programme of this day is depending on the flight time from Vienna. But probably remains the time to visit in the morning the Schoenbrunn Castle incl. admissions to inside Grand tour. Then check-out from hotel and the lunch in local restaurant. Maybe can remain some time for last minute shopping. Last service of OTUS´ coach and tourleader is the transfer to Vienna airport. Happy flight and go back home safely!
