Czech History & Beer 6_days/5_nights

Visited places of interest: Prague, Plzeň (Pilsen) + brewery, Karlovy Vary, Krušovice brewery, Konopiště Castle, České Budějovice + brewery, Český Krumlov, Holašovice historical village, Hluboká Castle, Kutná Hora.

Date: Any time of the year (except 24.12. – 03.01. and 30.04.– 16.05.) – see attached price list. 

Duration: 6 days/ 5 nights. Transportation: coach of OTUS. Hotels: 3*, 4* – according to your choice, Prague, České Budějovice (Budweis). Meals: half board.

The programme of the tour includes:

DAY 1 : Meet and greet with OTUS guide at Prague airport (or another place in Prague – f. e. Railroad station), coach transfer to hotel, check-in + welcome drink, accommodation. 7.15 PM departure by coach to „Prague by night“ – river cruise with complete hot + cold buffet dinner, incl. aperitif, live music on the board while cruising on Vltava river with beautifull view of iluminated Prague´s sightseeings. About 11 PM return to hotel.

DAY 2 : Great city tour of Prague by OTUS coach and with experienced guide. Included admission to te interiors of Prague Castle, walking through so callled „King´s road“ – among the most valuable sightseeings of Prague. Break for luch (own way). Continuing via Charles Bridge ot the Old Town and city centre, coach return to hotel. In the evening several minutes walking to the beer pub „U kalicha“ (known through „brave soldier Śvejk“), welcome drink, dinner of 3 sourses + 1 big beer + 1 soft drink, live „old fashion“ czech music. Walking return back to hotel.

DAY 3: Whole day coach trip to the western region of C.R. begins by drive to city Plzeň. Short walking tour of city centre – Main square with church and transfer to Pilsner brewery – for excursion of „Pilsner Urquell“ beer production, beer tasting and lunch (own way) in famous brewery´s restaurant. Then the tour continues to to world famous Karlovy Vary. Walking sigtseeing tour through spa area, available tasting of mineral waters, incl. 71 C° hot „Vřídlo“, some time for souvenir shopping. Late afternoon drive back to Prague (short stop over in Krušovice by local brewery) and arive to Prague´s Czech folklore garden. Full dinner with unlimited drnks (incl. beer, wine, softdrinks) wth performance of Czech foklore dances and songs. Late evening return to hotel in Prague.

DAY 4: Let´s go for 2nd days trip! Morning from Prague to Konopiště Castle with visit of weapons and hunting trophies collections. Then the tour continues to České Budějovice (Budweis) – time for lunch and visit to the original Budweiser Brewery incl.taste of beer. The tour continues to Český Krumlov, pearl among the historical cities, UNESCO Heritage Memorial – walking through the medieval streets of town with its unique atmosphere, guide´s explanation of history, shopping of souvenirs and hand made craft products. Return back to Č. Budějovice for accommodation and 3 courses dinner + 1 drink in popular beer restaurant.

DAY 5: After early breakfast drive about 15 km to village Holašovice – unique preserved example of country style of living in the 18th century „Czech village baroque“ – UNESCO Heritage Memorial (get ready your cameras). Visit of small local folklore museum. Tour continues to Hluboká Castle – so called „Czech Winsor Castle“ – visit of castle with large collections of beautifull historical gobelins. Time for lunch in some typical czech country side pub. Then can be relaxed inside the coach for about 140 Km tour observing extremally interesting country arround up to Kutná Hora – medieval royal town, UNESCO Heritage Memorial, about 50 Km eastern from Prague. Visit of St. Barbora Cathedrale and medieval ossuary. Return to Prague hotel about 7 PM, 3 course dinner at hotel restaurant.

DAY 6: Buffet breakfast, check-out and depending on the departure time some free time in centre of Prague before the transfer to the airport. Ferwell with OTUS guide and check-in for return flight.
