Bratislava, the town with a rich history spreads out on both sides of Danube river by borders of Austria and Hungaria. Majority of sights (f.e. palaces in baroque style) are situated in the Old Town. Other important sights are Bratislava Castle and Děvín Castle. There are hundreds restaurants, pubs, wine cellaries, cafes in the Old Town, where you can taste Slovak and international cusine and excellent Slovak wine. There are good opportunity of shoppings in the Old Town, because there are situated many small shops.
New shopping centres 20 minutes from downtown.
Shopping recommendation: sheep cheeses, sausages, Borovička gin, products of folk art – braided lace and wooden toys.
